Two organizations to simplify the arrival of foreign researchers in France :
The BRACE (Regional reception of Foreign Researchers) is the network of mobility centres of Ile-de-France (Paris region). It's managered by Cité internationale universitaire de Paris and supported by Conseil Régional d'Ile-de-France.

- BiCi (Guest researchers' international desk). It can provide guest PhD students, post-doc or researchers invited by one of the research Institutions of the Polytechnicum of Marne-la-Vallée and their family with a number of proximity services.

- Science Accueil help people coming for professional purposes and for a temporary stay to find living accommodations and to group together all the informations (administration, housing, French courses, leisure, ...) which may be of use to them then and later during their stay, if they need to contact a particular service or person. Service is reserved for people who go and work to higher education and research establishments which are members of our association.

The Alfred Kastler Foundation is a service of Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. It aims to improve the conditions of welcome extended to top level foreign researchers and academics coming to work in France, and to maintain contacts with them when they return to their country.
A guide for visitors and their French hosts has been edited by the Foundation. It can be consulted on the Internet .(http://www.fnak.fr).
You are a foreign researcher coming to France: receive your free Guest Researcher Card and benefit from its many advantages (health insurance at a special price, opening a bank account, etc.). The Guest Researcher Card is free and is offered to all foreign scientists, whatever their nationality and field of study, with a Ph.D.-level doctorate who come to France for post-doctoral training, guest or associated professorships, sabbatical leaves, etc... For more informations and to receive your free Guest Researcher Card.
The Foundation will enable you to maintain your contacts in France when you return home (circulation of regular information sheets, possibility of subscriptions to French journals, mailing list, etc.).
The Kastler Foundation coordinates the French network of mobility centres, member of ERA-MORE, the European network.Science Welcome is member of the French network since the beginning on 2001.

This site allows not only to facilitate scientific mobility towards France but also to allow the researchers who are already back in their countries of origin to participate in the French actions of cooperation or scientific and technological development.
